The company has undertaken the structural design of many types of building utilizing most construction techniques and material types. ie reinforced concrete, structural steelwork, masonry, timber and aluminium. The main types of building that have been designed by the Company fall into the following main categories.

Industrial

This work not only involves industrial buildings themselves but also includes structures to support industrial plant and equipment, loading docks and specialist facilities designed to suit the client’s particular needs.

Commercial

This includes providing the structural and civil engineering design of office blocks and similar buildings. Close liaison with the client and the architect has proved invaluable in providing buildings that meet all the required objectives. In congested city sites a familiarity with specialist piling techniques to create off-set footing and the like has proved invaluable.

Residential

Most new build residential development projects the Company has dealt with have been in the form of bocks of flats and individual houses. The work has often included a complete package including roads, drainage and landscape structures. Structural forms vary and include traditional load bearing walls with timber or precast concrete floors but our expertise also includes timber frame construction.

Leisure and Community Projects

The range of structures that have been designed by the Company in this category includes places of worship, schools, nursing homes and the like. All projects in this group need very special consideration to ensure that the building functions as envisaged by the client.
